There are currently two golf courses on Lanzarote. Costa Teguise Golf and Lanzarote Golf which is near Puerto del Carmen.
A new course is planned for Playa Blanca but building work has yet to commence. If you are staying on Faro Park have a word with John at "The Snug" as they organise golf days.
Lanzarote IronmanThe Lanzarote Ironman competition takes place annually and is a popular event for competitors and spectators. This is a truly gruelling triathalon with the heat playing a major factor for the 1800 athletes that participate. A 2.4 mile sea swim from the beach at Puerto del Carmen is then followed by a 112 mile (hilly and windy) bike ride and a 26.2 mile marathon just to finish the race (and all the racers) off! |

Union Deportiva Lanzarote play in Group 12 of the Tercera Division which is effectively Spain's Division 4. They play at the Ciudad Deportiva de Lanzarote Football Stadium in Arrecife.
